First time DUI in Maryland, had no idea what to expect. I called Sei-Hee the next morning and she was immediately kind, understanding, and knowledgeable about the entire process – something I really needed after the traumatic arrest night. I was charged [redacted] for representation in the criminal case. I’m not sure how this compares to other lawyers as she’s the first one I’ve used. There’s payment plans if needed. The MVA case is separate and she prepares you well for you to do it on your own – it’s fairly straightforward and I had no issues getting a restricted license. There’s an extra charge for her to be there during the MVA case if you feel you need it. I was well over the legal limit, but Sei-Hee negotiated my DUI down to a DWI. I also got a PBJ by following her instructions on what to do before court. It was also clear she was the most knowledgeable/experienced attorney in the court room. I would definitely recommend her to my friends/family or, god forbid, hire her again for myself if needed.

Sei-Hee was referred to me by another lawyer and mutual friend and after my experience with her work I have referred her to several other potential clients. She is generous with her time, thorough and a creative problem solver. When it was clear that there was a possibility to settle our case out of court we proceeded to arbitration. When the arbitration was unsuccessful she taught us how to proceed to take over a large part of the work ourselves in order to save money and report back to her for advice on how to resolve the dispute in court until she was needed again at the end. I am in the process now of filling out the forms she sent me to update my mother’s will, create trusts and do end of life planning. Sei-Hee has a complete package of pre-visit information sheets that once filled out allow us to gather all the information in one place and help her give us the best advice possible.

C. Sei-Hee Arii was truly a godsend. I was facing my second DUI in 9 years. As a single mom, my panic was off the charts. Sei-Hee was a rock during the storm. She had a plan and she gave it to me straight. Yes, I was facing jail time but because of a combination of Ms. Arii’s expert legal knowledge and direction I never saw the inside of a cell. Trust me, she’s who to turn to and she cares. Don’t get me wrong, a lot of work went in to giving her something to go on but if you’re willing to fight, so is she. Ms. Sei-Hee Arii represented a friend of mine on a criminal matter several years ago. There was no doubt as to my friend’s guilt but she handled the case skillfully and with sensitivity and understanding. During consultation she was very honest with me about my possible consequences, from worst to best, with it being my 2nd alcohol related offense. She advised me on programs to attend before my court date that could lead to a more favorable sentencing in front of the judge.
